A Smile Daisy Redo!

Just a quick post...I replaced the daisy on my card from yesterday!  I love the stitched daisy...but on THIS card, I felt it might have been just a bit too busy.  I kept looking at the card all yesterday, and just kept feeling something was "off".  SO...I replaced the daisy with a more rounded, less busy daisy.  I think it went better with the sentiment and didn't fight with the gingham, polka dots and the stitched borders...
Oh...and because I did this mid morning, this was my first card photographed in my recently purchased FOLDIO portable studio...so easy and LOVE the results!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Smile Daisy

I made a card using the new Simon Says Stamp Basic Banners die set, along with a few other fun stamps and dies, to make this Lemony colored daisy card...
When I opened the set of dies, they came all connected.  I opted to keep the two smallest ones together and die cut them together, making a framed banner.  Here's a pic of the dies, the right two connected dies are the ones I used, the left is all the remaining 3 unused, still connected dies...
I die cut several of the banners, and layered them together (using only one of the centers)and dotted the top outside layer with a white gel pen to give it some dots.  I die cut the daisy and the "smile" and layered both of those.  I used the Simon Gingham stamp for the background, then die cut with the largest Simon Stitched Rectangle die and layered the inside piece, and adhered both to the card.  Here's a couple close ups...

Oh, I'm having so much fun with flowers!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Five Minute Card Filled with Love

I had a heart die and a punched flower on my desk...they were my inspiration...combined with the fun  CAS(E) this Sketch  sketch this week...
 Here was my inspiration...
and the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!...

Super simple...die cut the heart, layered, and punched the flower and layered. Added a white embossed partial sentiment on vellum.   Embossed the background for added dimension.
I love simple, easy, and fun cards...such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Dots and Stripes Get Well Wishes

I used the My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges die and Pinstripe background stamp, my favorite Penny Black flower die, Simon Says Stamp Mini flower die, and Papertrey Ink sentiment to make a much needed get well card...
I thought it might be fun to combine stripes and dots, so I used a piece of lime colored patterned paper from AC Moore and made some stripes on the card with my very loved Pinstripe stamp.  I love making black/white stripes myself, rather than patterned paper, because stamping on MY white cardstock makes the white inbeween the black stripes REALLY white, and not the usual off white that I often see and get when I purchase black/white striped patterned paper...does that make sense?  I  LOVE REAL WHITE!!...and REAL BLACK, for that matter(sometimes the black isn't really black)...ok...I'm done spouting:):)!!  I lined the green with a die cut strip of black and added a layered flower in a flower at the bend in the die cut paper.  Here's a close up...

CAS(E) this Sketch! 178...Smile

What a fun, simple sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch!...here's my card and this week's sketch...

I used the star dies from the new Simon Says Stamp Warm Weather Animals die set and a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set.  I used paint chips to die cut the stars and layered.  I layered the tag, as well.  Here's a close up...
I think a sketch with this kind of simplicity lends itself to lots of creativity...what great fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
